Visiting the website

When you visit our website, our server processes the connection data that is technically necessary: your IP address, the date and time of access, the page requested and information about your browser and operating system. This is required to deliver the website to you and to protect it against misuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating the website securely (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Where this data is stored in log files, we delete it after 14 days at the latest.

Cookies

Our website does not set any cookies and does not store any information on your device. That is why we do not ask for your consent when you visit.

Online booking and enquiries by email

You can reserve or enquire about equipment using the booking form on our website or by email. We process the information you give us: first and last name, email address, pick-up and return dates, the equipment you need and your message. For the online booking discount we assign a booking number to your reservation and record whether it has been redeemed.

The information is stored on our server and sent to us by email so that we can handle your enquiry. The legal basis is taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in smooth communication (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Enquiries received through the website are deleted automatically 12 months after receipt. We keep emails about your enquiry for no longer than 12 months after our last contact. If a contract is concluded, the following section applies.

Rental and service

If you rent equipment from us or use our service, we process the data required for this and for billing, such as your name, contact details, rental period, equipment and payment details.

The legal bases are the performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legal obligations, in particular under tax and accounting law (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR). We keep accounting records (Section 132 of the Austrian Federal Fiscal Code) for seven years, and beyond that only for as long as necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Visitor statistics

To find out which pages are read and to improve our website, we use the analytics software Umami. We run it ourselves on a server in Frankfurt am Main, Germany; no data is passed on to third parties.

Umami does not set cookies and does not store anything on your device. It records the page visited, the previous page, the country, and the device type, browser and operating system. Your IP address is not stored; individual visitors cannot be recognised. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in improving our website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Hosting and other recipients

The website, content management system and statistics run on a server operated by Hostinger International Ltd. in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Hostinger processes the data on our behalf under a data processing agreement. Where Hostinger uses sub-processors outside the European Economic Area, this is based on EU standard contractual clauses.

Beyond that, we only pass on your data where this is necessary for the purposes described or required by law, for example to our email provider, our tax advisers or public authorities. We do not ourselves transfer your data to countries outside the European Economic Area.

Your rights

You generally have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, in each case within the limits set by law.

If you have given us your consent, you may withdraw it at any time; this does not affect the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal. Where processing is based on our legitimate interests, you may object to it on grounds relating to your particular situation.

To exercise your rights, please contact wedlsport@sbg.at or write to us at the address above.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Austria this is the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde), www.dsb.gv.at.
